Begin with the model, generation and powertrain, particularly when comparing adverts from different markets. Record the actual lighting, seat adjustment, climate controls and infotainment connections. Similar exterior designs or model names do not make two cars' specifications interchangeable, and a replaced screen may differ from the original factory equipment.
These examples include current and older model names. They are not a coverage list: report availability depends on the individual VIN, model year and market.
A VIN identifies an individual vehicle. Reading the characters alone does not give you a complete list of optional equipment. Use the factory specification to understand the original configuration, then compare it with the vehicle and its documents. Model names and trim badges are not a substitute for this check.
VIN decoderAvailable fields depend on the manufacturer’s record for the specific VIN. Not every report includes every category. A factory package name may also differ between markets.
Factory equipment describes the original configuration. It does not prove that a feature still works or that a car has not been modified. Check the vehicle itself and its service documentation before relying on an advertised feature.
