What may be in the factory record?
- Vehicle identity: VIN, make, model and production details.
- Engine, transmission and drivetrain information.
- Exterior paint, upholstery and interior trim codes.
- Original option codes and equipment descriptions.
- Factory packages, comfort features and driver assistance equipment.
Available fields depend on the manufacturer’s record for the specific VIN. Not every report includes every category. A factory package name may also differ between markets.
What the list cannot tell you
Factory equipment describes the original configuration. It does not prove that a feature still works or that a car has not been modified. Check the vehicle itself and its service documentation before relying on an advertised feature.
