Separate the advertised drivetrain and equipment from accessories added for a previous owner's use. Wheels, luggage systems and exterior fittings may change after production. Compare the exact model and generation, and ask which features or accessories are original, which were added later and which will remain with the vehicle at handover.
These examples include current and older model names. They are not a coverage list: report availability depends on the individual VIN, model year and market.
A VIN identifies an individual vehicle. Reading the characters alone does not give you a complete list of optional equipment. Use the factory specification to understand the original configuration, then compare it with the vehicle and its documents. Model names and trim badges are not a substitute for this check.
VIN decoderAvailable fields depend on the manufacturer’s record for the specific VIN. Not every report includes every category. A factory package name may also differ between markets.
Factory equipment describes the original configuration. It does not prove that a feature still works or that a car has not been modified. Check the vehicle itself and its service documentation before relying on an advertised feature.
