Record the exact vehicle and drivetrain wording
Match the VIN and record the model, body style and production details. Copy advertised drivetrain and package descriptions without expanding them into extra capabilities. Ask for the applicable vehicle documents when a claim about modes or equipment matters to your intended use.
Inventory removable items carefully
Where removable roof sections or other detachable parts are advertised, list each item, its fittings and any storage pieces included. Ask for a demonstration that follows the vehicle instructions. Do not assume that a part pictured in an earlier listing will be supplied at collection.
Keep modifications outside the factory list
Ask about changes to tyres, suspension, bumpers and recovery accessories. Retain installation records and leave suitability questions to a qualified inspection. Do not test unfamiliar modes or equipment simply to see whether they work. A build specification cannot establish present off-road capability or the condition of parts that have been changed.
