Copy the complete vehicle information
Match the VIN and record the model, body style and production context. If a vehicle data sticker or document provides PR codes, preserve a readable copy together with other equipment descriptions. Keep letters, numbers and leading zeros intact. Do not guess a code from a blurred image.
Interpret codes in their proper context
Use information that applies to the relevant vehicle and production period. Ask for clarification where a short entry leaves the exact function uncertain. A list from another Volkswagen is not evidence that this car has the same equipment. Do not treat the absence of a line as a definitive statement about standard fitment.
Compare functions and later additions
Ask for parked demonstrations of advertised lighting, parking, seating and multimedia features that matter to you. Record any retrofits separately, with invoices or other supporting documents. Preserve unresolved differences between the record and the car. The original specification does not certify present operation, the quality of later work or the vehicle’s service history.
