Match the version and drivetrain wording
Record the VIN, model year and the exact powertrain or drivetrain description in the paperwork. Save the seller’s claims without adding assumed functions. A badge or a similar-looking model does not establish which system is fitted to the individual vehicle.
Check the controls using the right instructions
Ask the seller to explain relevant modes and controls while the vehicle is parked. Follow the applicable instructions and avoid experimenting with unfamiliar settings. Keep documented equipment separate from operational condition. If the description and controls do not agree, leave the question unresolved until it can be checked properly.
Record accessories and changes
List roof fittings, towing items, multimedia replacements and other advertised additions. Ask for installation records and confirm which removable components remain with the vehicle. Use the vehicle’s own documentation for any load-related questions. An equipment list can organise the original specification, but cannot establish the suitability or safe installation of later accessories.
