Identify the exact model and powertrain
Match the VIN and record the model, body style and production information from the documents. Avoid applying a specification from another generation just because the brand or model name is familiar. Note the propulsion system separately before making assumptions about charging equipment or everyday operation.
Inspect the roof and cabin configuration
Where a glass or opening roof is advertised, identify which sections and controls are present. Ask for a demonstration following the vehicle instructions. Check the seating and storage layout in person and keep concerns about mechanisms or seals for inspection. A roof description in an original record does not establish its current condition.
List supplied equipment individually
For an electric vehicle, record included cables and accessories and check their labels against the applicable instructions. List keys, luggage covers and other loose items as well. Keep the handover inventory separate from the factory list. Battery condition and charging performance require their own evidence and cannot be inferred from an equipment description.
