VINBYCAR / FIELD NOTES

Land Rover seating, terrain controls and towing equipment

Separate a Land Rover’s practical layout from package names and claims that require vehicle-specific documentation.

Confirm the layout before the package

Match the VIN and record the exact model, body configuration and production details. Count the installed seating positions and examine luggage access. If a listing describes additional rows or folding arrangements, ask for a parked demonstration and check whether the layout suits your passengers and equipment.

Read terrain and suspension claims literally

Copy the complete equipment descriptions and ask which functions are documented for this vehicle. Do not infer a specific suspension or drivetrain system from a rotary control, a badge or another model’s specification. Follow the vehicle instructions and leave unfamiliar off-road settings to an appropriate supervised demonstration.

Keep towing and roof accessories separate

Record installed attachments, removable components and supporting installation paperwork. Use the applicable vehicle documents for permitted loads rather than deriving them from a package label. Compare original equipment with later additions and present condition. A factory list cannot certify that an accessory is suitable for the load or activity you have planned.
