VINBYCAR / FIELD NOTES

Hyundai powertrain, convenience equipment and charging accessories

Compare a Hyundai’s original specification with its fitted convenience features and, where relevant, charging accessories.

Identify the actual powertrain

Match the VIN and the model and powertrain information in the documents. When similar model names appear in several adverts, do not assume they describe the same propulsion system or equipment. Record the model year and market before comparing package descriptions.

Make a function-by-function comparison

List the seating, climate, camera and phone functions you need. Ask for a parked demonstration and keep notes on what is visible and operational. A large screen or familiar trim name should not replace the check. Leave account-based services unconfirmed until the conditions for the next owner have been established.

Inventory charging items when applicable

For a plug-in vehicle, record each supplied cable and accessory, its label and its apparent condition. Check compatibility through the vehicle’s instructions rather than assuming every cable shown in an advert is suitable. Keep battery condition and charging performance as separate inspection questions; neither follows from the original equipment list.
