Identify the exact vehicle
Match the VIN on the vehicle with the registration document and write down the model, body style, engine and transmission. The H1, H2 and H3 differ considerably in size and construction, and a pickup version can be described differently from the closed body. Ask which document confirms the version named in the advert.
List the off-road equipment
Note the four-wheel-drive system, differential locks, towing equipment, wheels, tyres and lighting that the seller mentions. Ask whether each item was fitted at the factory or added later, and request photographs of the mounting points and wiring. A part that looks original may still be an aftermarket replacement.
Check documents for changes
Collect invoices for suspension work, larger wheels, winches and engine changes, and check whether the changes are recorded where your local rules require it. Leave undocumented claims open. The equipment list helps you compare today's vehicle with its original configuration, but a qualified inspection is needed to judge the condition of the chassis and drivetrain.
