Describe the physical configuration
Start with the VIN and the body configuration in the vehicle documents. For a pickup, record the cab and load-bed details rather than relying on a model badge. Compare dimensions from the appropriate specification with the actual vehicle if your use depends on fitting equipment or cargo.
List each cargo accessory
For an advertised pickup cargo cover, side steps, protective cargo liner or tailgate function, photograph the fitted part and ask when it was installed. List the keys, removable sections and controls included in the sale. Keep factory equipment separate from later accessories, even if they carry matching branding.
Check operation and limits separately
Ask for safe demonstrations with the area around moving parts clear. Note faults or missing pieces for inspection. Use the applicable vehicle documentation for loading and towing limits rather than interpreting a utility-package label. A detailed accessory inventory helps compare two vehicles, but does not establish that the fitted equipment is suitable for your intended load.
