Start with the exact body and version
Match the VIN and record the model, body style and production information. Keep an edition name separate from the vehicle’s actual equipment list. Do not assume that a similarly named Fiat from a different year has the same roof, multimedia system or convenience functions.
Try the daily-use features
Ask to demonstrate phone connection, parking displays and ordinary cabin controls while parked. Check the seating and access you will actually use. Note which functions are fitted and which have only been mentioned in the advert. If a roof mechanism is relevant, follow the correct instructions and record any uncertainty for inspection.
Check the handover inventory
List keys, luggage covers, tool kits and any advertised cables or accessories. Ask which items are original and which were added later. Compare the list with the seller’s photographs and keep it separate from the factory record. Loose equipment can be missing even when a related feature appears in an original specification.
