Separate the questions
An equipment description can help identify the vehicle configuration being discussed. It does not establish the present condition of the traction battery. Battery condition is a separate question from the name of a model variant or the features listed in an advert.
Do not turn a display into a diagnosis
Record what the car displays, including whether you are looking at charge level or an estimated driving range. Those displays do not, by themselves, constitute a battery-health assessment. Avoid converting a single displayed number into an unsupported conclusion about remaining capacity.
Ask for a relevant assessment
If battery condition is important to your decision, arrange an appropriate inspection or diagnostic assessment. Ask what was measured, under what conditions and what limitations apply to the result. Keep the assessment separate from general equipment notes so the two do not become confused.
Check everyday functions too
During a safe viewing, ask about charging controls, included equipment and any warning messages. Do not open high-voltage components or attempt your own battery test. Record unanswered questions before deciding. A useful comparison of electric cars distinguishes the advertised configuration, the functions demonstrated and any independent assessment of current condition rather than presenting one of these as proof of the others.
