Write separate headings
Use separate entries for engine or motor description, transmission and driven wheels. Avoid copying a broad model label into all three. A trim name or styling badge is not a complete mechanical specification.
Keep the units and wording
When a listing gives a technical value, retain its unit and the exact description of what is being measured. Do not compare differently labelled figures as though they were automatically equivalent. If the wording is unclear, ask the seller to clarify rather than performing an improvised conversion or inference.
Confirm the individual vehicle
Compare the claimed configuration with the specific car's identifying details and equipment information. Ask about any mechanical changes. A selector shape or a badge can suggest a question to ask, but should not be your sole basis for describing the drivetrain.
Keep condition as a separate check
A correct specification does not prove that the engine, transmission or drive system is in good condition. Note warning messages and concerns, and arrange an appropriate inspection. Do not attempt aggressive acceleration or difficult manoeuvres to prove a drivetrain claim during a viewing. Your final comparison should distinguish what the vehicle is described as having from what has actually been checked about its present condition.
