Confirm the version and drive system
Match the VIN on the car with the registration document and write down the model, engine, gearbox, fuel type and trim level. Some Dacia models are offered with two- or four-wheel drive, and the difference is not always visible in photographs. Ask which document confirms the version and drive system named in the advert.
Compare the trim details
Check the wheels, roof bars, climate control, touchscreen, camera and seat upholstery, because these often separate one trim level from another. Note anything the seller presents as an upgrade and ask whether it was fitted at the factory, by a dealer or later by an owner, together with the invoice.
Look at use and maintenance
Ask how the car has been used, whether it has towed a trailer or been driven on rough roads, and when the brakes, clutch and suspension were last serviced. Write down missing records instead of guessing. An equipment list shows how the car was specified; a qualified inspection is needed to judge its condition today.
