Keep model details and package wording separate
Record the VIN, body style and production information from the documents. Copy any comfort or interior package name exactly. Ask for the applicable description rather than assuming that a similar name in another model or market means the same equipment.
Inspect the actual cabin arrangement
Check the installed seats, adjustment controls and storage spaces. If special comfort functions are advertised, ask what they do and request a parked demonstration. A distinctive seat covering does not establish the mechanism beneath it. Keep any replacement-seat or upholstery documents with the original configuration record.
Clarify roof and glazing claims
For an advertised glass roof, opening section or sunblind, identify each element separately and follow the vehicle’s instructions when it is demonstrated. Record what is fitted, what operates and what remains uncertain. Check the cabin in ordinary daylight rather than relying on edited listing photographs. An equipment list describes specification, not the condition of seals, mechanisms or glass.
