Identify the exact Audi first
Before comparing an A3, A4, A6 or Q5, write down the VIN and the model details from its documents. Keep body style, production information and registration date separate. Two cars advertised under the same model name do not necessarily have the same equipment. Start with the features you need, rather than assuming a trim badge answers every question.
Copy equipment codes accurately
If your documents show PR codes or other equipment identifiers, keep a clear copy together with any accompanying descriptions. Preserve letters, numbers and leading zeros. Do not substitute a code from a different car when an image is hard to read. Ask for a sharper photograph or a readable document before deciding what the entry means.
Compare functions, not just package names
For lighting, parking assistance and multimedia, note exactly what the seller claims. Compare that claim with the equipment description and what can be demonstrated in the parked car. A camera image, a sensor display and an assistance function answer different questions. Do not treat one visible control as evidence of every feature associated with a package name.
Use uncertainty to plan the viewing
Mark an unclear code or missing description as a question to resolve. Ask for information applicable to the car’s model and production period rather than relying on an unrelated code list. Keep factory configuration, later additions and present condition in separate notes. This makes the comparison useful even when some of the original equipment details remain uncertain.
