VINBYCAR / FIELD NOTES

Alpine seats, luggage space and equipment

Turn an Alpine specification into practical questions about seating, cabin equipment and the accessories included with the car.

Match the documents before comparing editions

Start with the VIN and the version described in the vehicle’s paperwork. Keep production details separate from its first registration date. If the advert names an edition or package, obtain the complete description rather than working backwards from a wheel design, exterior colour or decorative emblem.

Check the seating arrangement in person

Examine the fitted seats and ask the seller to demonstrate their available adjustments while parked. Check whether your driving position works for you. Record any seat changes and request installation documents where applicable. A brochure photograph does not show the condition, fit or exact specification of the seats in the car you are viewing.

Plan around your intended use

Bring measurements for luggage you expect to carry and check the actual storage openings. Confirm which bags, covers, charging accessories or other loose items the seller includes. List multimedia and convenience functions individually. Keep the agreed handover inventory separate from the factory specification so that optional accessories are not lost between the advert and collection.
